A material handler is essentially in charge of transporting freight and stock from and to the production areas, storage areas, delivery vehicles, and loading docks. All inventory procedures are under the jurisdiction of the Inventory Control Manager. They also oversee the staff management and budgeting of the inventory department. An inventory control manager is expected to have strong organizational skills.

8. Shipping Specialist

The role of a Shipping Specialist is to process, document, and direct shipments. They usually collaborate with the company’s vendors to ensure that the deliveries are sent out and delivered as scheduled. They oversee each delivery and work closely with the Warehouse Clerk on specific orders and directives.

9. Machine Operator

Depending on their specialization, a machine operator can either handle a particular machine or different machines in the warehouse. Alongside their machine operating skills, they are expected to have the excellent physical strength and proven technical knowledge. These will be required in ensuring the effective operation and maintenance of machines. They must also have problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to keep productions running as expected and without delay.
