The Quality Control Inspector will be a member of the Quality team in our precision metal fabrication facility supporting the aerospace and defense industries. We are looking for someone with a background in quality control with strong computer skills.
Job Responsibilities:
• Perform and document inspection of incoming parts – machined components, hardware (rivets,screws,fasteners, etc.) and visual inspection of plated parts.
• Perform in-house calibration of inspection equipment (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.)
• Perform and document 1st Article Layout Inspection on sheet metal components
• Perform set up and lot inspections for CNC machined and brake press formed parts
• Work in a fast pace environment while maintaining quality and safety standards
• Maintain good attendance
• Other duties as assigned
Requirements and Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Mechanical Inspection: 2 years
• Sheet metal: 1 year
• Excellent blueprint reading skills; including basic GD&T knowledge
• Proficiency using inspection equipment (i.e. caliper, micrometer, height gauge…) with CMM & Fabrivision a plus
• Inspection equipment calibration skills and First Article (AS9102) knowledge a plus
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English
• Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) computer skills
• ISO9000/AS9100 Environment
