Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in facilities maintenance, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to troubleshoot and repair various systems. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment, contributing to a safe and efficient working environment.
What You’ll Be Doing:
· Perform preventative maintenance on machines, equipment, and building when needed.
· Communicate corrective and preventative issues and repairs.
· Perform preventative maintenance on gas and electric forklifts, checking oil, coolant, and minor hydraulic leaks.
· Oil and grease machinery and support equipment.
· Change and inspect drive belts for fans and other facility equipment.
· Clean heat exchangers and perform maintenance on air compressors.
· Assist with the repair of injection molding machines.
· Cleaning and preventive maintenance work on outside chillers and HVAC units.
· Performs other duties as assigned and responds to situations with urgency and gets assistance as needed.
· Other basic handyman tasks such as: carpentry, plumbing, light welding, and fabricating.
What’s required:
• 3 years of experience in industrial plant maintenance.
• Have own hand tools & toolbox.
• Knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems and how to repair them.
• Be able to troubleshoot equipment to a component level.
• Disassemble machine parts and repair (gearboxes, cylinders, pumps, etc).
• Have good communication skills. Speak, read, and write in English.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Must always work safely, comply with company health and safety policies; pay attention to details, be accurate and do quality work.
• Be willing to work overtime, weekends, on-call as necessary.
• Stand on concrete floor for an extended amount of time.
• Ability to work independently, and as a team player.
• Good attendance and arrive to work on time.
