Responsibilities
• Schedule cleaning and maintenance of machinery and facilities.
• Repair the breakdowns of equipment, machinery in facilities & safety equipment
• Perform dock and door maintenance
• Change/replace parts or elements periodically or as needed.
• Installation of new elements (office or warehouse furniture assembly, small electrical or plumbing installations, etc.…)
• Install signs, paint in/out of complex.
• Prepare reports of damage to facilities, personal property, and real estate, for repair, maintenance, and accident prevention.
• Maintain company vehicles clean support schedule maintenance with external vendor as needed, keep clean, fuel up, for management visits
• Interact with external vendors related to Forklifts, propane delivery, diesel delivery
• Travel to local stores to purchase/order/pick up tools, equipment, supplies needed for maintenance or facilities.
• Assist in project implementations related to maintenance activities as required.
• Analytical reasoning when carrying out the maintenance actions of furniture and facilities.
• Prevent the existence of results that do not meet quality requirements.
• Identify and record any problem that affects quality, recommend solutions, verify that these are implemented until the problem has been solved.
• Interact with all departments to provide any maintenance support as needed.
• Comply with Safety and Security Processes, CTPAT, ISO Procedures.
Qualifications
• High School Degree or G.E.D Equivalent
Experience
• 1 year + preferred of maintenance
• Knowledge of warehouse and cross dock environment
• Bilingual in English and Spanish – Speak, Read, Write
• Knowledge of MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
• Knowledge of basic repair tools, such as power drills, screwdriver set (flathead and Phillips), wrenches, pliers, a cordless drill, a flashlight, a tape measure, a multimeter, wire strippers, safety goggles, and depending on the environment, a stud finder
Abilities
• Manage and control of tools and also maintenance equipment.
• Able to bend/stand for long periods of time.
• Able to carry material (weighing 5 lbs. – 30 lbs.)
• Able to work with ladders, manual jacks, scissor lifts and safety belts/lanyard.
• Able to work in a warehouse environment.
• Able to work stay over time or work weekends (as needed)
